Entrance Painting by Daisuke Kagawa

Entrance Painting Inspired by the Japanese clethra trees at the entrance, artist Daisuke Kagawa spent several days painting directly on the wall. This artwork has become the very face of Rantei. His delicate brushwork and unique worldview invite guests into a special space.

Hand-hewn Hallway

Hallway The hallway floor is finished using the traditional hand-hewn technique. This flooring, discovered by a carpenter, is beautifully crafted with traditional skills, allowing you to feel its texture and character with every step.

Counter from a Nikko Timber Merchant

Counter The counter is made from zelkova wood sourced from a timber merchant in Nikko City. This wood was discovered by Rantei's previous owner with their exceptional eye for quality. A single long piece of wood was cut and processed into an L-shape. This counter, rich in history and tradition, offers guests a special experience.

Oya Stone from Oya Stone Industry

Oya Stone At Rantei, we use Oya stone sourced from Oya Stone Industry. The stone materials, cleverly combining different designs, bring a unique character and sense of luxury to the interior.

Hoshino Mingei Furniture

Table The tables at Rantei are crafted by Hoshino Mingei, using bubinga wood with a history of 1000 years. This precious wood is split in half to create beautiful tables that adorn the space of Rantei.

Chairs The chairs, also by Hoshino Mingei and made from cherry wood, combine natural warmth with a sense of luxury, and their comfortable seating is a major appeal. The carefully finished chairs provide comfort even during long meals.
